Exterior painting
Exterior Painting in Edinburgh & the Lothians
Render, masonry, windows, doors, fascias and metalwork, prepared properly and painted with products chosen to stand up to Scottish weather.

Protection as well as appearance
Exterior paintwork does a job. It protects timber, masonry and metal from rain, wind and frost, as well as giving your property kerb appeal. That’s why our exterior work focuses on preparation and on choosing products suited to each surface and to the Scottish climate.
We plan exterior projects around the weather and only paint when conditions are right, so coatings can cure properly and perform as they should.

When is the best time of year for exterior painting?
Late spring to early autumn usually gives the most reliable conditions in Scotland. Exterior coatings need dry surfaces and suitable temperatures, so we plan around the forecast and will reschedule rather than paint in poor conditions.
Which surfaces can you paint?
We paint render, masonry, pebbledash, timber windows and doors, fascias, soffits, gutters, cladding and metalwork such as railings and gates.
Will access equipment be needed?
That depends on the height of the building and access around it. We’ll explain what’s needed when we assess the property and set it out clearly in your quotation.
How often should exterior paintwork be redone?
It varies with exposure, the surface and the quality of the previous work. Well-prepared paintwork lasts considerably longer, and we’re happy to give an honest view on the condition of your existing finish.
