Information we collect

When you submit our quote request form, we collect the information you provide:

• your name, email address and phone number
• the postcode of the property
• details of the work, the type of project, your preferred timescale and how you heard about us
• any photo you choose to upload

If you contact us by phone or email, we will hold the information you give us in that communication.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

• respond to your enquiry
• assess the proposed work
• prepare and discuss a quotation
• arrange and carry out work if you accept our quotation
• provide customer service and follow-up relating to your enquiry or project
• send occasional emails about our own painting and decorating services, similar to the ones you enquired about, unless you opt out

We do not sell your personal information or share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Emails about your enquiry and our services

When you ask us for a quote, we’ll use your details to respond to your enquiry. That includes calling you, texting you and emailing you about your quote and your job.

We may also send you occasional emails about our own painting and decorating services, such as seasonal reminders, recent work and helpful advice. We only do this for people who have asked us for a quote, and only about services similar to the ones you enquired about. We never sell or share your details with anyone else for marketing.

We do this because we have a legitimate interest in keeping in touch with people who’ve asked about our services. You can opt out at any time by clicking “unsubscribe” at the bottom of any email, or by emailing daniellaing@wisedecor.co.uk. Opting out won’t affect your quote or any work we’re doing for you.

If you unsubscribe, we’ll keep a record of your email address only so we don’t contact you again.

Our lawful basis

We process information needed to respond to an enquiry, prepare a quotation and provide our services because it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, or to perform a contract with you, under UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b).

We may also process information where necessary for our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries, managing customer relationships and operating our business under Article 6(1)(f).

We send occasional emails about our own similar services to people who have asked us for a quote on the basis of our legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f). You can opt out of these at any time.

Who processes your information

This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc. Form submissions, including any uploaded photos, are received and stored by Netlify on our behalf so that we can access them. Netlify may process this data outside the UK, subject to appropriate safeguards. We may also use standard email and business software to manage enquiries. We only share information with service providers who need it to provide these services to us.

How long we keep your information

We keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably required for the purpose for which it was collected.

If you do not proceed with work, we retain your enquiry information only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to and follow up on the enquiry.

If we carry out work for you, we keep relevant records for the duration of the work, any reasonable follow-up period and as required for legal, tax, insurance and accounting purposes.

We keep the contact details we use for emails about our services until you unsubscribe or the information is no longer required. If you unsubscribe, we keep a record of your email address only so we don’t contact you again.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
• ask us to delete your information
• ask us to restrict or object to how we use your information
• ask us to transfer your information to another organisation, where applicable
• object to direct marketing and opt out of our emails at any time

This website does not use analytics, advertising or other non-essential cookies, and does not track you across other websites. Our hosting provider may use strictly necessary technical measures to deliver the site securely.
